Plum, Sage and Caramelized Onion Pizza

The combination of the juicy plums, the sweet caramelized onions, the salty proscuitto and the light flavour of sage are an amazing combination.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 large onion, thinly sliced Local
  • 2 brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 pizza crust
  • 4 slice proscuitto, thinly sliced
  • 10 - 15 leaves fresh sage
  • 3-4 whole plums, pitted and sliced Local
  • 3 tablespoons goat cheese

Directions

Add 1 Tbsp of olive oil to heavy fry pan and heat.
Add onions and cook until translucent and tender, stirring frequently.
Add brown sugar and continue to cook onions slowly until they turn brown and soft. Stir frequently to ensure they don’t scorch.
Add garlic and cook for another minute.
Roll out your pizza crust.
Use the remainder 1Tbsp of olive oil to coat the pizza crust.
Layer with caramelized onions, proscuitto, sage, plums and goat cheese.
Place in 425 degree Farenheit oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
